Promotions & Badges
Promotions place campaign cards into search and category results, and can put a badge on the products they apply to — without editing product data. Available on the Growth plan and above.
Creating a promotion
Open Promotions (or the promotions panel on Browse and Config) and add a promotion. You set:
- Internal title (admins only), headline and body (shopper-facing)
- Card appearance — text only, image only, or image + text, with an accent colour and an optional corner label such as "Sponsored"
- CTA text and URL — where the card links
- Slot position — where in the results grid the card appears
- Start and end (optional) — schedule a campaign in advance
- Enabled — switch it off without deleting it
Targeting
Target a promotion by any mix of categories, brands, search terms, and field values (for example a facet value).
- Categories include everything beneath them: targeting
/Hardwarealso covers/Hardware/Power. - Search terms match anywhere in the shopper's search, ignoring case:
pdumatches "rack pdu 208v". - Within one kind of target, any listed value counts.
Cards and badges combine targets differently:
- A card shows when any of its targets matches the page — a promotion targeted at the Hardware category and the search term "pdu" appears on both.
- A badge appears on a product only when the product matches all of the promotion's targets — "Raritan products in /Hardware/Power" means exactly that.
A promotion with no targets never shows.
When changes appear
Storefront configuration, promotions included, is cached briefly so storefronts stay fast: edits usually reach shoppers within five minutes and can take up to about 15. Storefront Preview always shows the current version.
