Catalyst Integration

XSearch ships a typed search client and React provider used by BigCommerce Catalyst (Next.js) storefronts.

What it powers

• Search results pages
• Category and brand pages (same URLs your store already uses)
• Faceted filtering, sorting and pagination
• Variant-aware product cards and promotion/badge rendering

How it connects

Your Catalyst storefront calls the XSearch public search API with your store's channel ID. The API enforces product visibility, channel assignment and your configured field rules — the storefront receives exactly what a shopper is allowed to see.

In the XSearch app, open Settings → Storefront API, enable the endpoint, and add your Catalyst storefront's exact origin to the allow-list. Server-to-server requests do not send a browser Origin header; browser requests must match an allowed origin.
